Sou’wester shared lodging recommendations:

  • “Lady Grey Bus”: (King and 2 Twins) This classic Greyhound is an excellent option for a group of friends with a king-sized and two twin daybeds. It's handcrafted lighting, custom wall-paper by jujupapers, and floor-to-ceiling hardwood is sure to charm you. It has a cook-top, fridge, ¾ tub and shower, and private bathroom. There is an oven available in our outdoor, community kitchen.

  • “Park Model” – (Full/queen bed + daybed)

Park models have either a queen/full, offer a more spacious stay with all the luxuries of a studio apartment: Most have a private bedroom, kitchenette, living area, and bathroom with shower or tub.  Each has a full/queen bed as well as a twin daybed.

  • THE BLUE BIRD BUS – (Queen Bed)

The Blue Bird is a luxurious converted skoolie. It features a charming clawfoot bathtub, abundant natural light, and an elemental atmosphere. Savor your meals at the breakfast bar, spin some tunes on the record player, or cook to your heart’s content in the well-equipped kitchen. The soft morning light filters through curtains into the cozy queen bed nook, creating a serene retreat for two friends that don’t mind sharing a bed. Nestled along a garden strip in our East-most trailer court. Guests also have access to our private showers in the nearby pavilion.

  • All other vintage trailers have a single full bed(Rustic, Glamper, and Standard) and we find are more comfortable for single occupants- but you can always book separate lodging and still use the Indigo pals discount when booking with a friend.

Sou’wester Info: Situated just blocks from the beach and the Discovery Trail, and only 15 miles from Astoria, Oregon, our location is perfect for exploring the rich history, natural beauty, and lush bounty of the evergreen coast. The Sou’wester grounds feature fire pits, picnic tables, and inviting outdoor spaces. The three-story lodge features a front porch market curated with a collection of snacks and provisions, local and regional beer and wine, handmade gifts, art and wellness products along with a nostalgic VHS/ Vinyl library. The onsite garden and finish sauna will also be available to Indigofest participants in the evenings during your stay.

Long distance travelers: The PDX Portland International Airport is located approximately 2 hrs from our venue. PDX airport has rental car options and we can assist in arranging rental/ride sharing with participants.

Mask Policy: Please bring a mask as it will be required for specific class activities(mulling/grinding fine powders, etc.).

Dog Friends: In our experience it is preferable to keep class time dog-free. If you plan on bringing a dog, please make arrangements for them to stay in your lodging while you enjoy workshop time. Sou’wester Dog Policy allows canine guests in trailers and cabins(no dogs allows in Main Lodge or Sauna). There is a one time $20 cleaning fee. We ask that you bring blankets to cover bedding and furniture. Washington State Law requires all dogs to be on leashes and we trust that you will be responsible for your dog while you are here.
