Retreat Schedule ‘23
August 10th-14th 2023
Indigofest Retreat ‘23 welcomes you Thursday evening with a meet & greet. Workshops begin Friday morning and run through Sunday afternoon with a closing ceremony Monday morning.
This retreat spans the indigo universe from fresh plants to pigment to vat. All supplies are included and each workshop features a variety of local and natural fibers including wool, silk, cotton, linen, and more. During classes we will have large community time in addition to intimate smaller groups.
Workshop Highlights:
Vat creation & relationship with pigment contributions to the Community Vat made with local salal berry and oyster shell lime.
Resist techniques and botanical pattern play with paste & shape resist -with our custom wood and 3D printed shapes.
Fresh indigo processing techniques- beyond the blender.
Fresh plant pigment extraction and indirubin exploration.
Schedule subject to change, evolution, and edits.
